BNY Mellon Announces New President, Corporate Trust Head For Mexico

BNY Mellon has appointed Juan Carlos Morales as president of BNY Mellon Mexico and general manager of its corporate trust business in the country.
Morales, who joined BNY Mellon in 2004, was most recently the chief financial officer of BNY Mellon Wealth Management. In his new role, he will be based in Mexico City and will oversee the direction and expansion of the firm's local business lines. He will also be responsible for the operations, client service delivery and the general management of the firm's corporate trust business in the country. In his new role Morales reports to Rene Boettcher, the chairman of Latin America, and Sonia Chaliha, the managing director of the global Americas region for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.
BNY Mellon has been operating in Mexico since 1995, with a focus on marketing the firm's deposit receipts, global payments, global trade and corporate trust offerings. Its global parent has operations in 36 countries and has $21.8 trillion in assets under custody and administration, and $1 trillion in assets under management.
