BNY Mellon AM Strengthens Broker/Dealer Bonds With Strategic Appointment

BNY Mellon Asset Management has moved John Herlihy into the newly-created role of managing director, broker/dealer relations - a role in which he will be responsible for the firm’s relationships with broker/dealers across its investment boutiques.
Mr Herlihy will report to Scott Wennerholm, chief operating officer of BNY Mellon Asset Management, who said: "We believe that there is tremendous opportunity to continuously improve our operations for the benefit of our clients."
The new function will focus on higher levels of efficiency and effectiveness in service, execution and risk management. It will also provide a single point of contact for broker/dealers.
Mr Herlihy had been managing director, global client management, for BNY Mellon since 2005, with responsibility for building strategic relationships with its top institutional clients in the broker/dealer, investment management and insurance industries.
BNY Mellon's press release did not say where Mr Herlihy will be based, and the firm was not immediately available for comment at the time of publication.
