Asset manager BNP Paribas Investment Partners has hired former Barings man Colin Harte as portfolio manager and strategist.

Asset manager BNP Paribas Investment Partners has hired former Barings man Colin Harte as portfolio manager and strategist.

Based in London, Harte joins the tactical asset allocation and research team within the multi solution division - led by chief information officer Colin Graham.

Harte was made redundant from Barings in February 2012 after 11 years at the group when his Absolute Return Global Bond fund was merged into another product at the group.

His appoinrment comes shortly after the division hired Colin Graham as chief investment officer in March and launched its Diversified Growth fund at the end of July this year.
