BMO Capital Announces Series Of Hires In The US, London

BMO Capital Markets has expanded its global fixed income business with new hires in the US and London.

In New York, the investment and corporate banking unit of BMO Financial has named Kathy Evers as managing director and head of municipal credit analytics, while Roy Hingston has been appointed to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida office as a director and senior balance sheet strategist.

Also joining the fixed income group are Milton McNichol, as US government securities sales director in London, and David Blinder, as US government securities sales director in the Houston, Texas office.

Evers most recently supervised surveillance and risk management of the US municipal portfolio at the New York branch of Dexia Credit Local, while Hingston spent 35 years with community-based financial institutions to develop asset-liability management strategies. McNichol, who will focus on expanding BMO's distribution with banks, hedge funds, and central banks across Europe, joins the firm from Arbor Research and Trading in London. Blinder joins from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was director of fixed income sales.

As well as these appointments, BMO Capital also announced new sales locations in Midland, Michigan and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Midland branch will be led by Tamara McGovern as director, institutional sales, while the Pittsburgh office includes Ed Twomey as director, institutional sales and Ron Mitchell as vice president, institutional sales.
