BEA (China) Illuminates Banking Past

The Asian bank has opened a museum in Shanghai to showcase the history of the sector down the decades.
China’s banking industry sometimes comes across as freshly-minted, but one of its lenders has opened a museum to point out how far back the country’s sector goes.
The Bank of East Asia (China), part of Bank of East Asia, has officially opened the Shanghai and Hong Kong Museum of Banking History in its building located in Puxi, Shanghai.
Featuring a timeline, the museum shows the changes and integration of the banking industry in the two cities of Hong Kong and China from the mid-19th century to the present.
