New York-based Brown Brothers Harriman has appointed Jamie Cann as a vice president and relationship manager within its Charlotte, NC wealth management office.

Cann has fourteen years of experience in the financial services industry and in his new role will be responsible for managing investment portfolios and advising clients on investment-related matters, the firm said.

He will report directly to Rand Ayer, who is managing director and head of the Charlotte office.

Prior to joining Brown Brothers, Cann worked in business development for Afton Capital Management and spent seven years with Credit Suisse in the equities division in New York and San Francisco before that.

The privately-held bank operates from 16 locations, including New York, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, Charlotte, NC, Denver, CO, Jersey City, NJ, Wilmington, DE, London, Dublin, Luxembourg, Zurich, Grand Cayman, Hong Kong, Beijing and Tokyo.
