An author on building wealth and a prominent educator around the industry is leading his RIA's investor education program.

US Registered Investment Advisor AE Wealth Management has appointed co-founder and wealth industry luminary David Bach as director of investor education.

Bach, a nine-time New York Times Bestselling Author, his firm said, is developing educational and training seminars where independent financial advisors can learn ideas to help clients.

AE Wealth Management recently launched its series of training seminars, with hundreds already taking part and new sessions are slated for next year.

Bach is also kicking off the second day of full sessions at this year's MarketCounsel Summit, speaking Wednesday on tomorrow about the issue of using brand development to push growth.

"A key concern among the advisors we work with, and many of their clients, is the possibility of a market correction in the near future. Our seminars offer turnkey teaching solutions to help advisors get ahead of that concern and prevent clients from making behaviorally influenced decisions in the heat of the moment," Bach said.

A relative newcomer, AE Wealth Management was founded last year, and has total platform assets standing at about $2.6 billion as of November, a growth rate of over 400 per cent from inception.

Bach’s FinishRich Seminars®, which feature content from his books, have been taught by thousands of financial advisors throughout North America. Prior to co-founding AE Wealth Management, he was a senior vice president of The Bach Group at Morgan Stanley, a period spanning 1993 to 2001. Bach also served as vice chairman of Edelman Financial Services from 2014 to 2015, and was a contributor to NBC's Today Show.
