Atlantic Trust, the US private wealth management division of CIBC, has appointed Susan Farris as managing director and senior relationship manager in Boston, MA.

Farris has over18 years of industry experience, having most recently worked at Windhaven Investment Management as a managing director. Before that she was a vice president in the private wealth management division of Goldman Sachs & Co and a fixed income strategist at UBS in Zurich and Miami, FL.

Atlantic Trust has made around 20 hires year-to-date including 12 at the vice president level or above; ten are client relationship managers in Boston, MA, New York, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, Houston, TX, and Newport Beach, CA. This year, the firm plans to hire more than 30 professionals, it said.

Atlantic Trust operates in 12 full-service locations throughout the US with $24.4 billion in assets under management as of April 30, 2014.
