Asia Wealth Platform Names Investment Chief

The firm is an example of the kind of business harnessing distributed ledger technology as a way of tapping into alternative asset class areas such as private equity. It is based in Asia.

Xen Technologies, platform giving Asian investors the ability to tap into alternative assets such as private equity and hedge funds, has appointed Kenneth Yeo as chief investment officer.

Yeo joins from Azalea Asset Management, a private equity fund wholly owned by Temasek, where he was a senior director. Prior to that, he worked at Oriens Asset Management as chief investment officer, Allianz Group as investment director and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation as vice president.

In this new role Yeo will oversee Xen’s portfolios of alternative investments, including developing strategic investment plans and reviewing asset allocations. He has more than 20 years of investment experience in private equity and venture capital and brings with him a proven track record in running global investment portfolios.

Xen was launched in 2018 by former investment bankers, traders and fintech figures. In the past year, Xen has appointed Yong Hak Huh, former CIO of Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and Bernard Phang, former MD of GIC, to its advisory board.
