Based in New York, the industry figure has worked in the financial sector, such as in marketing alternative funds to institutional investors, for 30 years.
Apex Group, the financial services provider, has appointed a new global head of Apex Invest, Philipp Levy. This part of Apex provides capital raising, advisory solutions, and technologies.
The firm announced Levy’s appointment during the Apex Invest - Singapore event.
Levy is based in New York. Levy succeeded the role from John Papesh, who is still at the firm, focused on the Middle East and based in that regoin. Levy has joined with a slightly different brief, with more of a tech-focus, and can better leverage Apex's global network, a spokesperson told FWR when asked about the matter.
“Through our global conferences and our innovative portal, Apex Invest will be at the forefront of the digitization process in the alternative assets space,” Levy said in a statement.
Levy joined Apex Group in May; before this, he was head of marketing and investor relations for several event-driven funds based in New York City. For example, he helped to grow Mudrick Capital Management, a $3 billion event-driven and distressed fund, which he joined prior to its launch. Levy has more than 30 years’ industry experience, working in financial centers including New York, London, and Zurich. He spent the past 25 years focused on marketing alternative funds to institutional investors worldwide.
Apex Group, founded in 2003 and established in Bermuda, supports
growth of asset managers, allocators, financial institutions, and
