Grant Thornton has announced its second hire of the week in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tom Joseph has joined Chicago, IL-headquartered Grant Thornton as a managing director in the firm’s financial services advisory practice, based in Charlotte, NC.

The news comes in the same week as the accounting firm appointed Ann Williams as a partner and leader of the firm's mid-south private wealth practice, also in Charlotte.

Joseph is tasked with supporting the growth of financial services advisory offerings in the Carolinas practice, which includes Raleigh, NC, and Columbia, SC.

Before joining Grant Thornton, Joseph was a vice president and client executive within the financial services and banking unit at North Highland, and before that was a senior vice president and head of enterprise client management process at Bank of America.

Grant Thornton is the US member firm of Grant Thornton International, a global audit, tax and advisory firm. It has 57 US offices with more than 500 partners and 6,000 employees.
