Americas Chairman At Credit Suisse To Depart

Media reports said that, months after a corporate overhaul, Credit Suisse's chairman for the Americas is set to leave the bank.
Robert Shafir, chairman of the Americas at Credit Suisse, is planning to leave the Swiss bank at the end of June, media reports said.
Bloomberg said a spokesperson confirmed the move but that Shafir's “future plans are not known yet.”
The firm has confirmed the news to Family Wealth Report.
Shafir was chief executive of the Americas region and joint head of private banking and wealth management from 2012 until October 2015, when Credit Suisse’s CEO reorganized its leadership as part of an enterprise-wide change in strategic direction.
Among other shifts in focus, the bank is in the process of scaling back its private banking brokerage business model to better leverage its investment banking and asset management capabilities for ultra high net worth clients in the US.
