Oregon-based Aequitas Capital Partners has hired four regional directors to help drive forward its expansion plans.
Oregon-based Aequitas Capital Partners has hired four regional directors to help drive forward its expansion plans.
Aequitas Capital launched ACP in July 2014 as a strategic ally for registered investment advisors, with a focus on helping them with succession planning and selling their businesses.
“We have now doubled our staff to provide additional support and resources to RIAs and wealth advisors who want to accelerate firm growth through access to intellectual, financial, and human capital," said Brian Rice, president of Aequitas' wealth management division.
The hires are: Todd Nelson, who was previously regional marketing director at 3D Asset Management, as Southeast regional director; James Kenney, a former wholesaler for Natixis Global Asset Management, as Northwest regional director; Whit Whitehouse, who has held various sales and management roles at firms including Fidelity, Citigroup and Wells Fargo, as Southwest regional director; and Bill Hennessey, previously relationship manager at Charles Schwab Advisor Services, as Northeast regional director.
Other shuffles to the national sales team include the appointment of Tammy Wood as vice president of sales. Wood has more than 25 years' experience in the investment management industry, across both relationship management and new business development roles.
"We've covered the country now from the Northwest to the Southwest, and from the Northeast to the Southeast, with regional directors in the field who can meet and consult with clients and partners. We are preparing for expansion of the ACP network in 2015," said Rice.
