AXA Investment Managers Opens Beijing Office

AXA Investment Managers has been
granted a license to open a representative office in Beijing,
the asset manager announced today.

AXA IM has named Ying Du, who has been with
company for 14 years, as chief representative of the Beijing team. She will
report to Terence Lam, AXA IM’s head of sales and marketing.

The initiative follows AXA IM’s recent joint-venture agreement with Bank
of India, signifying the group’s long term commitment to the Asia Pacific region, said Dominique Carrel Billiard, CEO of AXA IM.

The firm will focus on the China market, with
ambitions to capture some of the country’s rapidly growing asset management
business, currently valued at €3.5 trillion ($4.4 trillion).
